This beautiful town, one of the main municipalities of Chianti, has very ancient origins: in the Middle Ages it served as a market, held in its distinctive triangular central square, and was once part of the magnificent Montefioralle castle estate. Greve in Chianti lies between the two capitals of Chianti and the two unique cities of art, Florence and Siena, in the heart of the historic Chianti Classico region, land of great red wines and the Gallo Nero.
My farm, dedicated to vines and olive trees, covers ten hectares. I produce Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. wine, Toscana I.G.T. wine, table wine, extra virgin olive oil, and I remain one of the few growers of iris (Iris Pallida) for the perfume industry. I personally tend to my land, and the products I obtain are the result of local tradition enriched by modern technical knowledge. With the help of my father Giorgio and my whole family, I oversee the entire production process: from growing the grapes to selling the finished wine, from olive oil production to drying iris rhizomes.
